I've done some initial work into creating my own. If hex map then I want a scale like 1 mile/hex or 2 miles/hex that gives a detailed view of the terrain, not 30 mile hexes. I would prefer a pseudo-ecology generation system. What it does not help me do is describe a large-scale overland journey I find that regular maps or detailed hex maps are best for that, with the particular points of interest called out. Something where I can take the hex the PCs are currently in and generate the surrounding hexes at the table if need be. Anyone who has played Dungeons & Dragons knows that no two groups ever play the same. I am starting a sandbox West Marches campaign, and am wondering if an Offline Hex Map Generator exists.
